PEC Presents: 40 under 40 Awards

 

Recognizing 40 young Pennsylvanians who are working to protect the environment.

 

Pennsylvania has a rich history of environmental leaders who have made the
Commonwealth a healthier, greener place to live, work and visit, and who have
inspired others around the nation with their actions.

As we look to the future, the Pennsylvania Environmental Council honors the
next generation of environmental leaders - those who will shape the way we treat
our land, air and water over the next several decades.

Nomination Criteria:

  • Nomination deadline - July 26, 2010
  • All nominees must be residents of Pennsylvania
  • All nominees must be at least 21 years of age and under the age of 40 as of December 31, 2010
  • Nominations may be self submitted
  • Nominees may be young professionals or volunteers helping the environment
  • Successful nominations will be asked to complete and submit an informational questionnaire to be used in the judging process.

Nomination Process:

  1. Submit a nomination form by July 26, 2010, which includes basic information about the nominee (self-submissions are allowed)
  2. Once the nomination form is received, PEC will send the eligible nominee a questionnaire with additional information that will aid in the judging process. This questionnaire is due to PEC by August 2, 2010.
  3. PEC Senior Staff and select Board Members will review the nominations and select the winners
  4. Winners will be notified in late August/early September
