Loyalhanna Water Trail draft available
Loyalhanna Creek offers a surprising variety of paddling experiences: whitewater and moving flatwater through scenic ravines, including Chestnut Ridge, and still water on Loyalhanna Lake with open views of birds and wildlife.
PEC is pleased to be in the last stages of developing the Loyalhanna Water Trail Map & Guide, which will be an official water trail of the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission. After presenting earlier drafts to more than 35 interested individuals and groups, and after receiving feedback at a public program, the map and guide are in at least their third major revision.
At the request of some of our partners, we are posting the latest draft of the map and guide. In this form, the guide can be reviewed, but is not easily printed out because it is layed out at 22 by 17 inches. When published, the guide will be printed on one side and the map will be printed on the other. Both can be reviewed here:
Check back here for updates or sign up for our e-mail updates. We hope to have the printed version available in the spring of 2013 and plan to have an version that can be downloaded and printed as 8.5 x 11 inch pages.
