Julie McMonagle
Julie McMonagle, Vice President of the Northeast Regional Office, has been with the Pennsylvania Environmental Council for 12 years. She holds a B.S. in Geology from Juniata College and an M.S. in Geology from Lehigh University. Her prior experience at environmental consulting firms includes soil and groundwater assessment and remediation in northeastern and southeastern Pennsylvania. From 1995 to 2003, Ms. McMonagle served as an adjunct faculty member at Wilkes University for environmental and geology courses. Since joining PEC, Ms. McMonagle has been project manager on an array of projects, including trail and park master plans; river conservation plans; and wellness initiatives. From 2004 - 2008, Ms. McMonagle was Director of the Northeast Regional Office of PEC and became Vice President in 2008. Her current responsibilities at PEC include grant preparation and report writing, budget management and project research. She also interacts extensively with local, county and state agencies, as well as with private organizations and foundations.
