Andy Walker, Director, Northwest Office
Andy joined Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC) in August 2008 as the Director of the Northwest Office after having served for several years as the Executive Director of the Meadville Redevelopment Authority. During his tenure there, he often worked with PEC’s French Creek Project on land-use planning initiatives, local agriculture, farmers’ market development and other sustainability initiatives. Andy brings a land-use planning and community development approach to his work and enjoys working with municipal governments and other conservation partners to maintain the tremendous water quality and biodiversity of the French Creek Valley and larger region. He is a strong proponent of downtown revitalization and has been active in “Make It Meadville,” an all-volunteer effort to implement the Main Street Program in downtown Meadville. Andy serves on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Downtown Center, Crawford Area Transportation Authority, Crawford County Drug & Alcohol Executive Commission and the Meadville Market House Authority. He also serves on the Meadville Planning Commission.
