Join policy makers, stakeholders, implementing agencies, and East Coast Greenway enthusiasts together with one goal: Working together to get more trail segments completed!

Thank you to those who attended the East Coast Greenway Summit.

The event attracted about 80 regional stakeholders from counties along the greenway route, and those interested in creating more trail segments.

The East Coast Greenway Summit will feature an overview of the greenway in Pennsylvania, and presentations by local, regional and national leaders who are helping to build the trail.

Keynote Speaker: 

Jon Orcutt - Senior Policy Advisor to NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg's DOT, will talk about the incredible leaps that New York City has taken in recent years to build up its trail and bicycle facility networks - including a bikeway right on Broadway, the Hudson River Trail and the ECG.

 

 

Luncheon Featured Speaker:

Jim Sayer - Executive Director of the Adventure Cycling Association, the nation's largest recreational cycling organization, will talk about the landmark trail and bicycling municipal and regional networks in North America.

 

Panel discussions will include:

  • Regional discussions of Bucks, Philadelphia and Delaware counties
  • Project Management, Design and Maintenance Issues
  • Economic Development and Funding
  • Tourism, Historic and Cultural Opportunities

The Schuylkill River Walk and Mayor's Bike Ride will take place after the Summit.
