Come and experience the first walk-able PA Greenways and Trails Summit in downtown York! The Summit offers three days of educational sessions, mobile workshops, networking opportunities, and many chances to experience downtown York on foot. Highlights:
- The deadline to register is August 31st! (However, late registrations will be accepted) Please see the Summit Registration Guide or visit the Greenways & Trails Summit webpage for instructions on how to register.
- Summit price for PRPS members is $125, and $140 for non-members. Registration is also available on a daily basis.
- Reserve your room now! The Summit will be held in the historic Yorktowne Hotel in downtown York. Rooms are available at the Yorktowne Hotel for a Summit rate of $89, plus tax per night. Mention the Pennsylvania Park & Recreation Society to get the Summit rate.
- Educational Sessions and Mobile Workshops are offered Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Paddle the Lower Suquehanna, learn about trail management and construction, ride the York County Heritage Rail Trail, hear how trails are making the health connection, hike the Mason Dixon Trail, learn from others’ successes and challenges, and much more.

- Daniel Rice, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition, headquartered in Akron, Ohio
- Barry J. Schoch, P.E. - Secretary of Transportation, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Richard J. Allan - Secretary of Conservation & Natural Resource, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Special Monday night dinner and social event with live music at the Central Market in downtown York.
