PEC is a founding member of the Three Rivers Rain Garden Alliance.  This partnership of non-profit organizations, businesses, and educational institutions encourages and facilitates the installation of rain gardens as one method of addressing the wet weather runoff issues that plague the region.  Landowners are encouraged to register their rain gardens on the Alliance’s website (www.raingardenalliance.org), which also contains information about the proper siting and installation of rain gardens.  In March 2011, the Alliance hosted its first Landscape Professionals Workshop.
