Jessica Anderson, Communications Manager
As Communications Manager for the Pennsylvania Environmental Council’s southeast regional office, Jessica Anderson conducts strategic communications outreach, media relations and event planning for all programs within the office.
She also serves as project manager for the Council’s Tidal Delaware Water Trail project, which promotes recreational use and stewardship of this 56-mile stretch of river, including the Philadelphia and Camden riverfronts. She led the Council’s creation of the Paddle Penn's Landing program in Center City Philadelphia, which has attracted nearly 4,000 participants over two years. She also manages the Council's Tidal Delaware River Ambassador program.
Prior to joining the Council, Ms. Anderson worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern PA in the areas of fundraising and partnership development. Before that, she was a public relations account executive for several consumer brands at Marina Maher Communications in Manhattan. She earned a Masters of Environmental Studies degree from the University of Pennsylvania and graduated cum laude from the University of Scranton with degrees in Communication and Spanish.
