Individually, the three band members have toured all 50 states and Europe, both on their own and sharing the stage with major acts like Alanis Morrissette, Sting, Avril Lavigne, The Rolling Stones, Kelly Clarkson, Gavin Degraw, Bonnie Raitt, James Taylor, Annie Lennox and many others.
So PEC is thrilled to present The Rescues as our third featured artist. While PEC is known across the state for its work on watersheds, sustainable communities and energy and climate-change, we offer our music feature for a very different reason - just for fun!
The Rescues are Kyler England from North Carolina, Gabriel Mann from Texas and Adrianne from Florida. All three of them were named among Music Connection's "Hot 100 Unsigned Artists of 2007." Kyler and Adrianne met while at Berklee College of Music and both eventually relocated to Los Angeles, where they met Gabe.
They became friends, collaborators and occasional tour-mates for years, it took a marriage to bring about their union as The Rescues in 2007 when a former music executive who had been a fan of all three artists asked them to form a group to play a concert at his wedding. The synergy was explosive from the start.
They have played major events and festivals, released more than 10 independent records, and won or been finalists in such songwriting competitions as The John Lennon Songwriting Competition (current finalist), The USA Songwriting Competition (top honor), The International Songwriting Competition (finalist), The Just Plain Folk Award (finalist), The Unisong International Songwriting Contest (top honor), The Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Competition (top honor) and The North Carolina Songwriting Competition (top honor).
They have written in Nashville with many of that city's top writers and publishers, had songs placed on hold for upcoming records by major artists including Carrie Underwood, and have all received numerous television song placements.
Together as The Rescues they have toured the Southeast, recorded an EP and their forthcoming debut full-length CD "Crazy Ever After," had songs placed in several movies and recorded a cover of Eric Carmen's "All By Myself," which is featured in the hit film "Superhero Movie."
