Paul M. King
Paul M. King is the President and CEO of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, a state wide nonprofit environmental organization that protects and restores the natural and built environments through innovation, collaboration, education and advocacy. He previously held environmental management and environmental law positions with PPG Industries, Inc
He holds a B.S. degree in business administration from Duquesne University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. Mr. King served as a member and chair of the Allegheny County Board of Health. He has served as an adjunct professor of environmental management at Duquesne University and as an adjunct professor of environmental law at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
He is a member of the Boards of McGuire Memorial (currently serving as treasurer) and the McGuire Memorial Foundation which provide comprehensive services to people with physical and mental disabilities.
Mr. King is a Past President of the Air and Waste Management Association, a past chairman of the Chemical Manufacturers Association's Environmental Management Committee.
He was a recipient of the Pa Bar Association Environmental Law Committee award for distinguished service to the profession in 2002, the Catholic Charities Caritas Award for service as a Champion of Justice in 2003 and a life time achievement award in 2009 from the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice.
He is a Qualified Environmental Professional and has written and spoken extensively in the environmental area.
