Paul Racette

Paul Racette is an environmental professional with over 25 years of experience that has included positions with federal agencies, private consulting groups, and educational/nonprofit organizations.  Following 2 years of fishery extension work in central Africa with the Peace Corps, Paul worked on air and hazardous waste management projects in southeastern Pennsylvania.  He re-located to Seattle in 1991, continuing to work on hazardous material site investigations and cleanups as a human health risk assessor.  Since 1998 Paul has refocused his career on natural resource management issues.  He coordinated a Washington State University (WSU) Extension Watershed Stewardship program, initiated a landowner conservation tools program (also at WSU), and gained experience with biological assessments, ecological restoration, and mitigation banking.

He currently serves as Watershed Programs Manager with the Pennsylvania Environmental Council’s Southeastern office.  He manages stormwater and ecological restoration projects, and facilitates the Wissahickon, Pennypack, and Poquessing Watershed Partnerships.  He holds Biology (BS) and Environmental Science (MS) degrees.
