38th Annual Philadelphia Dinner

PEC's annual Philadelphia Dinner will feature a keynote address by Mayor Michael Nutter and presentation of the Curtin Winsor Award to Samuel W. and Eleanor M. Morris.

The Pennsylvania Environmental Council is known for its premier dinner events across the state. In its 38th year, the Philadelphia Annual Dinner will host representatives from Philadelphia's business, government, academic and non-profit communities.

Keynote Speaker: Mayor Michael Nutter

This year, PEC will feature Philadelphia’s “new day and new way” as touted by Mayor Michael Nutter. The Mayor has already committed to improving Philadelphia’s natural and built environment by supporting city-wide recycling initiatives, new funding for parks and supporting green building policies. 

Curtin Winsor Award Recipients: Samuel W. Morris (posthumous) and Eleanor M. Morris

Named after the Council's founder and longtime president, the Curtin Winsor Awards is periodically awarded to environmental leaders of distinctions. Samuel and Eleanor Morris will be honored for their conservation efforts in northern Chester County that have helped shape Pennsylvania's agricultural and conservation laws.
