Point State Park Interpretive Plan

The popularity of Point State Park over the years had taken its toll and the park is undergoing a major renovation that began in 2006. The Point State Park Comprehensive Master Plan completed in 2004 is being used to guide these renovations. Several of the goals of the master plan focus on history, interpretation and recreational opportunities. As a part of this process a strategy for interpretation was recommended.

Much work has been done over the past few years to identify important resources, needs and objectives for interpreting this site. The Point State Park Interpretive Plan has been developed through a collaborative process to identify a clear strategy to enhance the site as one of historic, cultural and national significance.
